Yesterday, (24/5/11) right before we close our eyes to sleep. My son asked me,"how much did dad paid for your wedding?" Honestly I told him the it was me who paid for the wedding. I loan RM12k from the bank for his father to pay the dowry. Meaning to say, the good-for-nothing-man married me for free.He said that he'll pay back but till now, he can't afford to pay a penny. (huh, should have followed mum's advice not to marry him).I told my son that at that time I like him.Actually I was just rebelling and protest to mum. I was so angry that she won't let me be friend with any man. She was too protective.Yes, I know, that's what mums do.
My dowry was RM5k, well that was 1999. My sister's dowry is RM10k and she is getting married this weekend (28/5/11).Hope her marriage will turn out fine. My son asked me,"why is the dowry too expensive, when I get married, I hope my mother-in-law will not charge me too high". well, I told him, man can buy RM30k over for car, and upgrade it, why can't he pay for such a small sum and get a wife which will cook for him, clean his clothes, make him drinks, take care of his house, his children and do wonders for him.. He smiled and kissed me, he say, "thank you mama, you are great, goodnight mama, love you"
Well, I love you. And that is what mums do... love and more love
